What is The Steel Ball ?

The Steel Ball is an online temple of strength from where strength shall radiate into the lives of all.It is supposed to have everything which encourage us to be STRONG.

Steel Ball is a symbol of karmyogi  whose three main aspects are Strength, Peace and Duty.

Everyone in life consciously or unconsciously seeks Peace Of Mind. They try different means to fulfill their desires thinking that after the desires are fulfilled they will get peace of mind. But they end up with new desires. Desires make a person slave and he becomes ready to do anything for their fulfillment. An alternative path to peace of mind is through Strength and Duty. A person can get rid of kam, krodh, moh, lobh (Lust,Anger,Passionate Desires, Greed) through performance of one's duty (dharma) for which he has to be strong. A weak person can never be at peace. Peace is the virtue of Strong. Strength could be physical, mental, spiritual. Without strength there is no peace as weak person will never be able to get rid of  kam, krodh, moh, lobh and do his duty.

The dharma and karma are the characteristics of karmayogi  who floats in eternal peace, unaffected by happiness and sadness he always remain in state of bliss.

Emphasizing on the value of Strength in life, Gurudev Swami Vivekanand said "Strengh is life and Weakness is Death". To concretize the idea of such life with Strength, Peace and Duty as cardinal principles, the Steel Ball was chosen as a symbol of karmyogi.

Just as karmyogi is not affected by happiness and grief the Steel Ball is strong and resistant to corrosion and remains unaffected by pressures and changes happening outside. The karmyogi is thus able to perform his duty in favorable as well as adverse environment. Steel Ball is same from all sides symbolizing the characteristic of karmyogi who remains in same state of eternal peace unaffected by sadness or happiness.

The Samajik Vedanta of Gurudev emphasize on the importance of Duty in life.
Similarly in Bhagwad Geeta Bhagwan Krishna has said that both Duty (Dharma) and the Action (Karma)  in performance of duty are important, and they should be done without any greed of the outcome.

Explaining the underlining principle of  Dharma and Karma, Bhagwan Krishna said in Geeta

"you are a part of society and society is not part of you, in the good of society lies your good"

Thus good of all should be the guiding principle of our Dharma and Karma.

We can follow our dharma(Duty) and do our karma(Action in performance of duty) only when we have Strength and Peace.

Dear reader, thus this temple of strength with the name and symbol "Steel Ball" shall always remind us and encourage us to be STRONG and follow our Dharma (duty) towards the society through which only we can float in eternal bliss of god and lead a meaningful life of karmyogi.
